Sarah Cooper is a GM Industry Products at Amazon Web Services at Amazon Web Services (AWS). She possess expertise in start ups, entrepreneurship, saas, polymers, business planning and 28 more skills. Colleagues describe her as "I first met Sarah when she was a research fellow at NASA working on some very early work in carbon nanotubes and nanotube derived papers. We discussed an idea for using nanotechnology to make batteries powered by body heat, for extending the life of implantable devices, like pacemakers. Sarah spearheaded the creation of a Collaborative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) under the Space Act, between my company, Biophan, and NASA. This technology proved viable and Biophan still holds medical patents in the area. When I later learned about long, straight, ceramic nanotubes naturally occurring in clay, I approached Sarah. Her creative patent work led to the formation of NaturalNano, Inc. that went public and implemented her concepts for using the tubes to strengthen and enhance polymers. Sarah was the founding CTO and often the public face of the company, while amazingly juggling the battery project, for which she won an SBIR grant, the new company formation, and her Ph.D. program. Sarah approaches innovation and business like tigers approach their cubs, and their kill. She's energetic, great at networking and always has a smile on her face, even under the toughest conditions.
