🌟 Psychologist, ACT Peer-Reviewed Trainer, Author, & Speaker 🌟Passionate about fostering change both at individual and societal levels, I bring over 20 years of experience in therapy, training, and speaking engagements. My approach is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), enriched by a diverse array of modalities such as Compassion Focused Therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). I infuse my values of authenticity, curiosity, compassion, and humor into my work to create a safe space where people can shine.🎤 Sharing knowledge and creating change is my passion. I do this not only in my role as a psychologist providing individual and group therapy, but also in providing training, workshops, and talks for professionals. Over the past 10 years I have provided individual supervision, as well as countless workshops to a variety of healthcare professionals (including psychology students, residents, and provisional registrants, as well as psychiatrists, social workers, counsellors). In 2022, I became an ACT peer-reviewed trainer, and more recently I have been providing workshops and talks to workplaces on a variety of topics. I have also appeared on several podcasts.📘 My enthusiasm for making information and resources on weight stigma and body image more accessible culminated in my writing of Break the Binds of Weight Stigma; Free Yourself from Body Image Struggles Using ACT.👩💼 In addition to my clinical work, I serve as the Co-President of the Women of ACBS SIG, nurturing a community of empowered professionals. I've also had the honor of leading as Past President of the Atlantic Canada Chapter of ACBS.
