Dr. Sarah J. Robbins, MD, MSc, FRCPC, is a gastroenterologist, a nutrition specialist and the founder of Well Sunday Health Corporation, an online education platform that offers nutrition education to improve people’s health and quality of life. At Well Sunday, Dr. Robbins leverages her expertise in gut health, nutrition, and lifestyle medicine to provide easy-to-digest, science-backed courses about a variety of gut health issues that help people achieve vibrant health.A Southern Alberta native, Dr. Robbins started farming at a young age. Her appreciation of whole foods and a fascination with biology cultivated her passion for the science of nutrition and health, and today, Dr. Robbins’ clinical practice has specialized in gastrointestinal health with a particular focus on inflammatory bowel disease and intestinal failure, nutrition support programs, and nutrition and gut health after surgery.Dr. Robbins received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Masters of Science in Nutrition and Metabolism at the University of Alberta and completed her medical training and Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology residencies at the University of Calgary. Dr. Robbins obtained an additional clinical fellowship in Nutrition and Bariatric Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Robbins has served as President of the Canadian Nutrition Society and is an active member of the Royal College Gastroenterology Examination Committee.Dr. Robbins has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Alberta, and practiced at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton. She then enjoyed a large gastroenterology practice in Kelowna for a number of years. Dr. Robbins is presently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia and has a practice at Aroga Lifestyle Medicine in Victoria focused on the role of nutrition and lifestyle medicine in gastrointestinal illness.
