Family Solutions Resource Center (FSRC) is a non profit organization in the state of Louisiana. The mission of FSRC is to provide education, awareness & counseling for mental illness in our community. Our main area of focus is early identification for adolescents and teenagers battling depression and thoughts of suicide. We also provide workshops to teachers in area schools focusing on suicide awareness, early identification and prevention.

Dr. Shelby is the owner and CEO of The Autism Center of North Louisiana. The Autism Center is dedicated to provide a high quality of intensive, evidence-based behavioral treatment for children with autism spectrum and related disorders. Family Solutions developed the Autism Center in 2015 to service families seeking the diagnosis and care for children on the autism spectrum. It is one of the few facilities in the state and the the only facility in North Louisiana that provides a complete and certified autism diagnosis and treatment plan. We provide the highest standard available when it comes to the diagnosis and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our multidisciplinary approach to diagnosis and treatment is considered the highest standard available in the industry. We are the only facility in North Louisiana that provides ABA therapy, psychiatric, psychological, mental and behavioral health, speech therapy, occupational therapy and pediatric primary care services.

Courses taught:MAFT 7030: Supervision of Marriage and Family Therapy. This doctorate level course is a comprehensive review of the literature on the Supervision of Marriage and Family Therapy. It is designed to include interactional and didactic instructional components required by the AAMFT with supervision experience needed to that may be applied toward becoming an Approved Supervisor. It also provides supervisor candidates with direct face-to-face supervision-of-supervision and clinical supervisory practice.MAFT 7050:Practicum Marriage and Family Therapy. 3 credit-hours. This doctorate level course is designed to provide clinical supervision in marriage and family therapy for students who are enrolled in the ULM Marriage and Family Therapy Program and have completed at least two semesters of pre-practicum coursework at the graduate level. During this practicum, students are expected to maintain an adequate caseload at both the ULM Marriage and Family Therapy Clinic and at an approved externship site. Students are expected to maintain an active client caseload of at least three client contact hours per week. The supervisor will assist each student to develop a plan for the practicum experience, which will enable the student to meet program requirements.

The President is the Chief Officer of the state Division and of the Board and performs duties that are customary for the presiding officers, making all required appointments with the approval of the Board. General Responsibilities and Roles: The President has primary responsibility for the overall functioning of the division and insuring adherence to its mission and bylaws. This also includes leading the state division in developing, updating and implementing its strategic plan. These include oversight in the following areas:• Maintenance of the web site• Publication of the quarterly newsletter• Producing the annual state conference• General administrative duties• Implementing legislative policy• Relations with other professional associations and the national AAMFT office.
