I also oversee the day to day handling of the centre's operations and provide guidance and support when neededAs a Manager, I coordinate facility and programmed planning, budget preparation and administration of policies in the hospital. I maintain contact and cordial relationship with other Heads of Departments, Hospital Directors and decision makers in general. I work closely with the MDAC, Nursing Division and Customer Service Department to ensure that excellent and qualitative patient care is delivered. This involves working well with the other HODs of the hospital to ensure regulatory and compliance approvals, quality accreditations are fulfilledAs part of the marketing the hospital services to medical tourists from potential countries abroad, I create and promote new packages which would suite individuals. This also applies to the local market. I am also indirectly involved in the activities of the marketing and sales to ensure business plans are successful.Part of my scope is also to give lectures and training to the nurses and also the general public on latest trend in certain medical fields. I prepare health insurance claims and medical reports upon request. I represent the medical centre at various governmental meetings and public organizations. I have in the past, actively participated in cholesterol , anti smoking, heart disease and lifestyle campaigns, including lecturing on the subjects.Being the HOD I was involved at the department levels in the accreditation of the ISO 9001:2008 for the hospitalI am at present involved in implementing new and progressive methods and equivalent bodies for the benefit of the hospital.
