Profile bio

About Serena Brenner, Ms, Dvm, Certaqv

Compassionate and dedicated Veterinarian with almost 20 years of clinical experience dedicated to working with small animals, companion exotics, and zoo animals. I am as passionate today about staying on the forefront of medicine and pushing the envelope to expand our knowledge and our understanding of the species we work on. I am dedicated to remaining knowledgeable of emerging new research and advances in the field. I became a Certified Aquatic Veterinarian in June of 2020, Fear Free Certified in November of 2024, and Feline friendly in December 2024. Regardless of whether I am teaching, managing a shelter, working in a zoo or in private practice, management is always a key part of a successful team equation, so I was part of the inaugural class (August 2019) of the Foundations of Veterinary Business Program at UC Davis.
