A ten-week internship totaling 400 hrs, working with the veterinarians, residents, and students on rotation at the university. Learning to tube feed baby and adult avians and mammals, calculating medicine doses, administering PO medications, and SQ fluids, analyzing radiographs, completing treatments. Answering phone calls from the public, admitting patients, recording daily treatments, preparing medicines at different concentrations, handling/restraint of any wildlife from bunnies to raptors to opossums to turtles. Helping in every aspect that keeps the clinic running.
