As Vice-Chair for Translational Research, I facilitate opportunity and build infrastructure to optimize human bio sample-based research. As Director of the CAP-accredited BioRepository & Precision Pathology Center, I serve as principal investigator for Duke’s institutional research biobanking protocol and as PI for the Southern Division of the National Cancer Institute's Cooperative Human Tissue Network. I co-lead the Precision Cancer Medicine and Investigational Therapeutics Program at the Duke Cancer Institute. I am also a practicing GI Pathologist who is board-certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Clinical Informatics.
