As the CEO of Dr. Shawn M. Nicholson, LLC, I leverage my extensive experience as an Entrepreneur, Author, Executive Coach, Community Advocate, and Public Speaker to prepare a marketable pipeline for the workforce. I coach leaders across all sectors, focusing on developing essential soft skills to ensure they are equipped with the interpersonal abilities necessary for effective leadership. As the lead facilitator for the subsidiary company, Pivot to Passion Academy, I integrate vocational training, workforce development, and leadership strategies to empower individuals and communities to achieve economic prosperity and sustainable success. My commitment to soft skills development fosters growth, transformation, and long-term impact.

As the CEO of Precise Business Group, I lead efforts in providing entrepreneurial support, employment opportunities, vocational training, and skill development for the community. My role involves recruiting and staffing placement to ensure individuals are equipped with the necessary skills and opportunities to thrive in the workforce. Through strategic initiatives and community-focused programs, I aim to foster economic growth and empower individuals to achieve their full potential.

I am the Senior Pastor

I served as Chief Operationg Officer for Pathways- VA, Inc.Pathways, a private nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, celebrated the graduation of dozens of individuals who completed their training and/or High School/GED. The program is a community development corporation with a goal to rebuild and strengthen the city of Petersburg and its surrounding areas.Pathways started in the mid-'90s and offers numerous courses to not only the youths of the area, but other age groups in the community. We have career placement individuals who work with those involved in Pathways to place people in jobs and doctors who volunteer at free health clinics during the year. Our program demographics focus on youth ages 17-24 and include juvenile offenders and out-of-school youth. Instruction and training in Construction, Logistics and Healthcare both seat-time and experiential setting that leads to the construction/rehabilitation of single-family homes and job placement. I came to Pathways in May of 2015 as a Vocational Trainer, with the desire is to empower young adults and provide alternatives for their future. My goal is to instill the necessary skills and experiences to become a valuable asset to the work force and society. I am able to use construction as a baseline to identify and assist in fulfilling each young adults desire to do better and become better. Through the integration of construction skills in the classroom, I show how universal hard and soft skills really are, as well as the importance of using these skills in their everyday life. I believe that he is able to teach in a way that motivates students to not simply view construction as just a “job” or a short term means of income, but a potential career. Recently, I have been promoted Chief Operating Officer of Pathways and I am determined and motivated to use my experiences, gifts, abilities and work ethic to lead Pathways to the next plateau.
