Dr. Bridgitte Shen Lee earned her Doctor of Optometry degree magna cum laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She is the co-founder of Vision Optique® (1999), and founder of iTravelCE® (2010) and Ocular Aesthetics, LLC, dba Ocular Clinical Trials (2021).Vision Optique was selected as one of the ten 2018 Best Optometric Practices in USA. It is a well respected private practice in Houston, with an innovative high-end optical, advanced contact lens practice, and comprehensive ocular health center. It is also a clinical research site focused on the latest innovations in contact lens, myopia management, presbyopia, and ocular surface disease treatment. Dr. Shen Lee is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO), a Fellow of the British Contact Lens Association (FBCLA), and a Fellow of the European Academy of Optometry and Optics (FEAOO). She lectures internationally on the topics of Digital Eye Health®, Dry Eye Disease, Health Care Social Media, and Ocular Aesthetics. Her lectures and scientific posters have been presented at the American and European academy meetings, the Optometric Management Symposium, the SECO International and BCLA meetings, the World Congress of Optometry, and the International Congress of Ophthalmology & Optometry China (COOC).Dr. Shen Lee serves as one of the BCLA and the Tear Film & Ocular Surface Society (TFOS) Global Ambassadors. She has been selected to work on the next TFOS Lifestyle Ocular Surface Disease report. She serves as a Spokesperson and Medical Adviser to The Vision Council, and as a Visionaries for the USA Contact Lens Institute. She has presented at three U.S. Congressional Briefings in 2019 and 2020 on behalf of The Vision Council, Alliance for Eye and Vision Research (AEVR) and TFOS.Dr. Shen Lee enjoys raising her daughters to be global citizens and volunteering her time and talent at schools and in the Houston community. She was appointed by the Mayor of Houston to serve on the Miller Theatre Advisory Board, and she currently serves on the Houston Ballet Foundation Board of Trustees. Dr. Shen Lee was recognized as one of the 2017 Houston Most Influential Women by Houston Woman.
