I have been an avid cyclist for over 25 years. I feel that regular exercise, proper diet, restful sleep, positive mental attitude and a properly functioning nervous system thru chiropractic care is extremely important for your overall health and well being. I have seen what Lance has done for many people who are young and old and wanted to help in his foundation and cause.I chose this Hill in Mt. Adams, located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati (view the Hill St. in Cincinnati 45202 thru Google earth map) because it is one of the highest and steepest climbs that I have done in the past. I thought that naming the event, the L’Alpe d’ Mt. Adams, Climb for A Cure after one of the most intense climbs in the Tour de France. Thru the use of the Cycleops PowerTap SL+ wireless technology and the iMapMyRide+ iphone App on a carbon Eddy Merckx EMX bike, Rotor Q Ring and K-Edge Chain catcher, you will be able to track the results of the climb, Heart Rate, Speed, Cadence and Watts.Last year’s Climb for a Cure started as just a one man climber wanting to help support his friends and community battling cancer. The support and donation from the Queen City of friends and family was incredible and far exceeded my expectations. This year in 2011, we are having a “Climbing Team” that includes 7 cyclists with many walkers, runners and domistiques (hydration and energy experts) . You can donate, support and or even participate directly thru the Lance Armstrong Foundation link. 100% of the proceeds and money will be donated to The Foundation. The Climb last year was a mere challenge to what the 28 million people battling cancer face everyday.I hope that you will lend your support and participation for this incredible organization and foundation (Benefiting the Lance Armstrong Foundation) and all the people, families and friends who are affected by cancer every day.
