Provide individual, group and family mental health counseling to clients in-home and out-of-home.Utilize strength based perspective in helping clients decrease their limitations through self-motivation and empowerment.Supervise, facilitate and enhance Men's and Women's Support group for those living with HIV/AIDS.Supervise a team of 10 employees providing various supportive services such as individual therapy, substance abuse services, medical case management, re-entry transitional housing for women, treatment adherence and youth counseling services.Develop and revise agency policies and procedures relating to the Department of Social Services and Brighter Beginnings Transitional Housing Program.Provide ongoing supervision, training, staff development and support throughout the department and agency.Ensure the quality of service delivered meets the standards and requirements set forth by the Ryan White Unit.Interface with community agencies (public and private) regarding collaborative efforts to service those impacted by HIV/AIDS.

Provides individual and family counseling to clients in crisis in their natural environment.Work to reach the goal of stabilizing symptoms and preventing placement of youth into more restrictive treatment.Utilize various therapeutic techniques including family therapy, play therapy, and other modalities.Develop service plan with achievable and measurable goals with participation with the family and natural supports.Case management services resulting in safe, nurturing homes for children.Ongoing evaluation and interventions will be used to ensure the safety of the child.

Supervise and oversee the integration and quality of program services for a 24-hour facility including staffing.Ensure that on-site social service programming meets the needs of the consumers including mechanisms that provide for input by the consumers in all aspects of the program and building.Monitor progress towards achievement of performance outcomes and utilization for continuous quality improvement.Develop program budget with the Chief Financial Officer and monitor expenses.Represent the agency in the community, with funding agencies and participate in consortia relevant to consumer needs.Interview, hire and supervise all staff.Work collaboratively with staff at all levels to ensure quality service provisions and the development and improvement of team performance.Adhere to ACS, DOHMH, OMH, DHS and DHR regulatory requirements regarding SPMI/SED, MICA and at-risk youth/young adult populations.

Conducts investigations for abuse and neglect referrals within 24 hours; interviews children, parents, relatives, neighbors, and other collateral parties to the family or institution; obtains medical care if necessary; takes appropriate action to seek court intervention, police assistance, or in severe situations removal of the child from an unsafe environment in accordance with statute.Organizes a service program for family and/or child; assists in identifying and meeting problems of personal, emotional, and economic adjustment.Personally provides counseling and advice to children and families regarding behavior/personal relationships, alcoholism, drug abuse, and for other rehabilitative purposes.Oversee activities of paraprofessional staff, students, and volunteers providing support services for children and their families.

Develops and executes a public relations program to stimulate citizen cooperation and participation in civic matters.Studies local/state/federal housing requirements as they relate to changing needs of the community.
