For almost 30 years, Dr Simon Miles has made it his mission to help professionals (1) think more strategically so that they cause action and influence people, and (2) visualize and communicate their ideas more clearly so that they relieve the burden on themselves and others. He works with business leaders, government officials, and technical professionals at senior levels. Clients have included national financial regulators, the world’s biggest investment banks and the best-known insurance companies, as well as governments and tertiary institutions. He’s trained and coached several thousand people globally, and he’s delivered face-to-face workshops in 22 cities throughout Asia, India, the Middle East, Africa and Europe. Since 2006, Simon has managed a team of exceptional trainers and coaches. Each is qualified to a high level in training and each has more than 15 years of experience. Their programs in 2019 received a mean Net Promotor Score of +91. Participants perceive their skills to have improved by 44% on average. Earlier in his career, Dr Miles ran the corporate training division of the Centre for Professional and Business English (CPBE) at the HK Polytechnic University. In addition to mentoring trainers and overseeing the development of materials for corporate clients, Dr Miles also conducted in-depth programs to develop teaching skills, thus creating a new and valuable source of talent for the HK training industry. Simon is an examiner for the University of Cambridge ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) exams, including the Business English Certificate (BEC) and the Business Language Testing System (BULATS). He has lived in Asia since 1993.
