Dave is a data-driven marketer and sales executive with extensive technology and CX background. Strengths include customer-focused communications and relationships that ultimately reward, enhance, and motivate customer behavior. Experience managing very large teams and budgets ($200M+).With an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Cincinnati, Dave served 8 years in the U.S. Navy onboard nuclear submarines, where he was also a Navy Diver. Following that he spent 7 years at Procter & Gamble in various Information Technology roles in Manufacturing, Interactive Marketing, E-Commerce, and Business Intelligence. He joined Retail Ventures, Inc. in August 2003 to deliver an in-house CRM solution for Value City Department Stores, Filene’s Basement and DSW. In November 2005 Dave became Director of Customer Marketing for DSW where he re-launched and ran the award-winning DSW Rewards program. In December 2007 Dave moved to Toys R Us/Babies R Us to assume role of Director of Gift Registry and Customer Loyalty. In this role he launched the Rewards R Us loyalty program in September 2008. In February 2009 he moved to GNC, where he was responsible for all CRM efforts which include the Gold Card program, customer communications, all social / mobile initiatives, customer research and analytics, Media, and events and grassroots marketing.In January 2015 Dave moved to La Quinta Inns & Suites where he led the relaunch of La Quinta Returns, with 12 major new benefits, highlighted by two travel industry-first innovations, Redeem Away! and Instant Free Nights. La Quinta Returns was ranked by U.S. News & World Report as a Best Travel Rewards program in U.S. News' Best Travel Rewards 2016-17 rankings.In January 2018 Dave moved to Nordstrom as Vice President Loyalty & Retention. Dave led the relaunch from Nordstrom Rewards to The Nordy Club. The Nordy Club was featured as one of the five top loyalty programs in the U.S. based on overall customer satisfaction by the 2019 Bond Loyalty Report.Dave joined Proactiv (skincare) in November 2019 where he led project to completely re-architect Proactiv. Includes selection, implementation, and integration of: ERP, OMS, Subscription, ECP, 3PL, Contact Center, CRM. Dave is now Chief Marketing Officer for Orangetheory Fitness | Austin Fitness Group. He joined the organization in December 2021 as Vice President of Marketing then promoted to Chief Marketing & Sales Officer in October 2022.
