She helps clients develop transformational resilience, heal from trauma, expand well-being, and move towards full expression of Self leadership in work and life.Kimberly’s clinical teaching and practice integrate Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing contextual behavioural science (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Process based CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy),and Buddhist contemplative psychology to create an empathic, warm and genuine therapeutic context for lasting change.Her post-doctoral work in a Military Sexual Assault unit at a Texas VA hospital has brought deep trauma sensitivity to her clinical work. She went on to complete a Ph.D. In the APA accredited program in counselling psychology at Texas A&M University with an experimental dissertation applying the SPAFF system to analyzing dyadic interactions between physicians and patients. She completed her doctoral clinical training in the APA accredited doctoral residency in Behavioral Health at the University of Texas at Austin. Kimberly has held leadership positions in mental health including Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioural Medicine at Texas A&M College of Medicine, Psychologist II at Alberta Children’s Hospital, Chief of Psychology Professional Practice at the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group, and Director of Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health at the Clara Martin Center in Vermont.
