Cofounded this nonprofit organization, with an annual budget of 1 million+, that provides sex offender treatment and assessment throughout the state of North Dakota. Current offices located in Dickinson, Grand Forks, Devils Lake, Bismarck, Minot, Jamestown and Fargo. Duties include preparing the yearly budget for board approval and prudently managing organizational resources within those budget guidelines according to current laws and regulations. Provide supervision and oversight to all staff. Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure fidelity to the model, high quality clinical care, and documentation standards. Report to Board of Directors and ensure they have up to date, accurate information. Represent the company at legislative sessions, committee meetings and at formal functions. Present company report at annual board of directors meetings. Plan strategies and developmental plans for the welfare of the organization, Give direction and leadership toward the achievement of the organization's philosophy, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives. Provide training to clinical staff and ensure clinical staff have the resources to provide the needed services. Ensure cost effective management of resources. Monitor current contracts to ensure compliance, and continue to seek out new contracts and service delivery options that align with our mission and vision.

Responsible for the teaching/supervision of psychiatry residents and medical students completing their forensic rotation at the University of North Dakota.

Responsibilities included preparing for, lecturing to, developing tests for, and providing formal evaluations of performance on, approximately 300-1000 students per year. This very popular course was offered as both a traditional lecture class, as well as a web based, distance learning version.

Chief Psychologist:I started as a psychology resident in 1998, and then for nearly 10 years I was employed as the Chief Psychologist of this Community Mental Health Center. My duties included supervising and overseeing the psychology department, the counseling department and the Sexual Abuse Treatment Team, Coordinating the referrals for psychological evaluations, Conducting Psychological Evaluations, primarily with adults (Specializing in conducting Risk Assessments on Sex Offenders and other court ordered evaluations) Providing individual therapy to adult males and females, Providing staff training both within and outside the agency, Providing input / approval on diagnosis and treatment plans through multidisciplinary case conferences and informal consultation, attendance at Supervisors Meeting and other duties as assigned.Director of Clinical Training: Founded, Coordinated and Directed our APPIC member internship Program. This internship marked the first APPIC member internship Program in the state of North Dakota. It became the first APA approved internship in the state of North Dakota while I was still employed there, but had resigned from the Director of Training position. I was instrumental in the two year process to get APA approval.

I completed my psychology internship at this APA approved internship site in a Federal Prison 4 days per week. During my year there I provided individual therapy with incarcerated adult males and females, group therapy with incarcerated adult females, psychological evaluations on adult incarcerated females, crisis intervention as needed, jail screenings (suicidality, dangerousness, medication needs, etc.)psychiatric consultation exposure, provided staff training on working with Axis II Disorders and took part in the Annual Hostage Negotiation/SORT Training

I completed Psychological Evaluations on a full range of patients from children to geriatric in an inpatient psychiatric hospital one day per week. Evaluations included objective, projective, intellectual, achievement and /or neuropsychological testing.
