As Director of Innovation and Library Services at the American International School of Jeddah (AISJ), I inspire, facilitate, and provide leadership for school-wide initiatives in alignment with strategic and division-specific goals. My team spearheads and supports the advancement of innovative practices and information literacy in line with and beyond the strategic priorities and adopted curriculum. We develop and oversee programs that foster a drive for critical and creative thinking with an emphasis on project based learning, universal design, and emerging technologies. Our team strives to cultivate a culture and environment where innovation and informational literacy are applied constructively.

The IT Innovation Team supports the school’s ethical, pedagogical, and holistic vision for learning, innovation, and technology. I lead, facilitated, and supported instruction and technology from a standards-based and pedagogical stance including blended learning, media, enhanced learning, and emerging technologies (e.g., generative AI). High School

The Center of Innovation was developed to support everyone in exploring interests and pursuing passions in new flexible ways. I established and now support the team, systems and structures to meet this vision with fidelity while promoting an innovative culture. My greater leadership responsibilities include;- Research, Innovation, and Strategic Pathfinding Team leader- High School Course and Program Development and Vetting Team leader- Online Learning, Catalyst Project, and Mentoring Program facilitator.- Crisis Response Team member responsible for restructuring, executing, and assessing COVID-related safety measures including hiring supervision, training staff, and restructuring facilities.- Member of the school's Guiding Coalition Team

The Advanced Studies Program provides college level learning through Advanced Placement (AP) and Advanced Topic (AT) courses. I was responsible for transforming the existing AP program into a hybrid AP and AT program in order to increase relevance, skills-focused instruction, and authentic project-oriented assessment, in which I;- visioned and established the Advanced Studies Program including the team, guiding criteria, development process, annual audit, and college partnerships;- coordinated the largest single campus AP Program outside the US;- lead the development, implementation, and validation of 23 AT courses;- established and facilitated co-creditting partnerships with Syracuse University and the University of South Carolina; and- increased accessibility to college level courses that resulted in a 50% increase in Advanced Studies enrollment.

The College Board offers regional and school-specific leadership and management training opportunities. My consultation includes;- Visioning, developing, and facilitating regional Leadership Forums.- Facilitating AP Leadership and Coordinator Workshops, including online events. - Facilitating The College Board’s first AP Unconference.
