As a member of the Chancellorโs Cabinet, I advised the Chancellor on non-academic student engagement. I also served as the Chief Student-Personnel Officer, managing 10 direct reports.I was charged with the oversight of strategic and fiscal planning for the Division of Student Engagement, including University Police, Academic Advising, Retention, Counseling, and Wellness Services.Key activities centered around grant-writing and securing funding for campus safety, healthy living/suicide prevention initiatives, and student retention.I collaborated across academic and administrative departments on initiatives that support the recruitment and retention of underrepresented students.
