Manage clinical staff for the schools for the Deaf, school for the Blind, and schools for students with severe learning disabilities throughout Ontario. Clinical staff includes psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, a speech and language pathologist, behavioural consultants, and a case management consultant. Continue to provide direct clinical services as needed for two campuses. Consult with upper management regarding mental health needs and services at all schools.

Perform psychological and psychoeducational assessments for students; ages ranging from preschool through high school, includes classrooms focused on autism and behaviour challenges. Provide individual and family therapy for students. Design and provide presentations and workshops for staff. Lead and participate in committees regarding policies, admissions, and clinical services. Work collaboratively with medical, educational, and administrative staff.

Provide individual and family therapy for Deaf and hearing students as well as members of the larger DC Deaf community. Supervise graduate student trainees. Design and facilitate training workshops for students and student paraprofessionals. Co-facilitate process groups for graduate students. Coordinate presentations and workshops performed by staff. Facilitate the Safe Zone program, designed to support lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered students. Provide mental health referrals to requests made nationally. Work collaboratively with medical, administrative, and educational staff.

Provide family and individual therapy for Deaf and hearing children, adolescents, and adults. Co-facilitate social skills group for children from ages 12-14, and coping skills group for children from ages 8-10. Co-facilitate Intensive Outpatient Program for adolescents from ages 13-18. Coordinate services for clients and parents. Consult with collateral individuals involved in clients’ therapy, including parents and other professionals. Provide Quality Assurance administrative tasks. Supervise externs. Co-facilitate parenting class. Organize and administer psychological assessments.

Teach undergraduate Social Psychology course. Provide feedback to students through papers, grading tests, and discussion. Assist students with academic challenges.

Conduct clinical interviews and perform psychodiagnostic testing with adults and adolescents that seek services from the Office of Rehabilitation Services (ORS) of Illinois. Score test results, interpret data, and write reports based on testing. One to two full batteries per week with supervision.

Family Clinic. Organize and administer psychological assessments for infants, children, and adults, including some neuropsychological testing. Attend case conferences to provide input with regard to client’s psychological dynamics. Prepare reports with comprehensive recommendations to aid with the client’s treatment and functioning at home and at work/school.
