With over 27 years of experience in the education sector, I am a passionate and dedicated senior teacher recently retired from the Brentwood School District, where I specialized in English language and literature. My core competencies include curriculum planning and development, classroom instruction, teacher training, student teacher mentoring, and presentation planning and delivery. My mission is to inspire and empower my students and colleagues to achieve academic excellence, personal growth, and lifelong learning. I value diversity, collaboration, creativity, and innovation, and I strive to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the learning community.In my recent role as a senior teacher, I worked with students of different ages, backgrounds, and abilities, and I tailored my teaching methods and materials to suit their individual needs and goals. I also mentored and coached new and aspiring teachers, and I have shared my expertise and insights on effective teaching practices, curriculum design, and assessment strategies. Additionally, I leveraged my writing and communication skills to create and deliver engaging and informative presentations for both adolescents and adults on various topics related to English language and literature. Some of the skills that I have used and developed in my recent role are social networking, marketing communications, and writing.
