I hold a BSc Honours first class degree from University of Surrey, a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University College London and a PhD from King’s College London, University of London. I am a HCPC Registered Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. I am an Honorary Professor at Reykjavik University. I am a senior clinical academic with over 30 years clinical experience working in the NHS. I participated in the NICE ADHD National Clinical Practice Guidelines No. 72 and their implementation strategy. I am the Director of Psychology Services Ltd, working full time providing clinical and forensic services to people presenting with neurodevelopmental conditions. Previously I worked full time in clinical academia at Imperial College London and Broadmoor Hospital. Prior to that I worked at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (Kings College London), where I was the Programme Director of the MSc in Clinical Forensic Psychology. I have clinical experience in working with offenders at all levels of security spanning from low to high. I was the Director of Forensic Research and Development in the West London Mental Health Trust and an Honorary Consultant at Broadmoor Hospital for 11 years.I have over 150 publications, including clinical treatment programmes for children, adolescents and adults published in 6 books. My programmes are delivered in English speaking countries (including N.America, Singapore, Australia) and translated for use in Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, China and Japan. I have developed clinical assessment tools including the ADHD Child Evaluation (ACE) and ACE+ which assesses ADHD in adults. These have been translated into 22 languages, so far An autism assessment, DASI, has been translated into 4 languages so far. All tools are free to download. I am an invited speaker at international venues, delivering workshops and training.
