• Reading, researching, analyzing and evaluating criminal justice policy and data [e.g., human sex trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation of children and youth, crime reduction through technology and innovation (e.g. crime mapping), juvenile justice reform, protecting prisoners from rape, effective reentry/reentry reform to reduce recidivism, federal and state sentencing reform] (e.g., NCJRS, NACJD, UCR NIBRS, NCVS).• Identifying (and developing) research-based, evidence/empirically/theory supported bestpractices for: 1) significantly reducing human sex trafficking, 2) significantly reducing commercial sexual exploitation of children and youth, 3) crime reduction through technology and innovation (e.g. crime mapping), 4) juvenile justice reform, 5) protecting prisoners from rape, 6) effective reentry/reentry reform to reduce recidivism, 7) federal and state sentencing reform.

For the Back on Track Problem Solving Court, Prince George's County States Attorney Office: • Provided comprehensive case management services [e.g., referral to and monitoring of participation in community service, behavioral health (substance abuse, mental health), education, employment, transportation assistance] to all participants (first time PWID felony offenders) and coaching to help remove barriers to participant success, and to aid all participants in having the resources and support necessary to make healthy choices and complete the program.• Helped empower the first participants to successfully graduate from our program by working with the BOT Team to implement greater accountability while also fostering interpersonal rapport with participants and greater self-efficacy through workshops (e.g., psychoeducation, cognitive-behavioral, life skills) and a stance of radical respect.• Created comprehensive weekly participant reports for all BOT Team members using statewide electronic data management system in advance of our weekly Pre-Court meeting (which was immediately followed by BOT Court for participants).• Attended weekly Pre-Court BOT meetings, verbally presenting reports to the BOT Team (e.g., judge, attorneys for prosecution and defense, BOT Coordinator, PGCC), and answering questions and making recommendations.• Attended weekly BOT Court meetings, offering evidence and answering questions.• Initially screened and referred potential participants for the Welcome Home Reentry Program to Sr. Program Manager for further processing.
