Application of change management and lean thinking approaches to a variety of projects including defence clothing (reducing procurement and supply time scales to armed service customers), helicopters (reducing 'time to fix' and improving systems/processes and communication between various project groups at different locations). Alignment of metrics across the support chain.

Researched Welsh supply chain capability gaps in three key sectors: Aerospace (Unmanned Systems focus), Financial Services and Biosciences. Developed a practical strategy development and policy deployment model to assist the Welsh Assembly Government to identify, investigate and address key capability gaps for the Welsh economy, contingent upon each industry/sector.

Early roles involved career management of army personnel (recruitment to reservists), logistics support services to warships and Royal Fleet Auxilliaries (RFAs), ranging and scaling of equipment, onboard documentation, storing and de-storing of warships and RFAs. Between 1997 and 2001 I worked within the Lynx Helicopter Support Authority as the Commercial Manager heading up the Procurement & Supply Chain Team and integration and alignment with the Finance, Contracts and Engineering teams. Latterly I worked on the SKIOS - Sea King 'Integrated Operational Support' programme with MoD and industry partners on a through life helicopter system availability contract. Most recent role was as an internal consultant addressing process and performance improvement using 'lean' manufacturing and service principles on projects relating to tanks, armoured vehicles and aircraft.
