Dr. T.'s doctoral dissertation used SDT to explore how individuals describe their self-determination in terms of autonomy, competence, and relatedness to realize their personal training goals. Dr. T. concluded that everyone has the capacity to fully develop their intrinsic motivation to maximize their own level of health and fitness to optimal performance.Dr. T., Ph.D. is an exercise physiologist and fitness professional of over 20 years. During his career, he has been a personal trainer, group exercise instructor, adjunct college professor, and retired professional wrestler.
