In my current role, I work in the Formulation and Analytical R&D department, providing technical expertise to develop various vaccine formulations. I also use cutting-edge new technology to coat Microarray Patches, a novel vaccine delivery device, for non-clinical and clinical vaccination applications. I use diverse analytical testing methods for vaccine development and product analysis as part of my job. My work involves collaborating with cross-functional departments such as Pre-clinical, Engineering and Operations to develop, coat, and test vaccine/biologics on the new microarray patches from the starting to in-process materials testing to the finished products. I am currently working as Vaccine Coating Lead for influenza and flu vaccines project, where I utilize my skills and expertise to develop innovative vaccine coating on Microarray patch devices and test its effectiveness for GLP/ GMP manufacturing. Moreover, I am the SME for Scanning Electron Microscope, where I train various analysts on the machine for investigation and analysis purposes, create and teach correct implementation of best R&D and GxP practices, and manage its usage, maintenance and calibration.

Undertaking contracted research work on behalf of clients, I enhance research development functions and results. This involves formulating and delivering improved designs within shorter development iteration cycles, and providing expert training and advice. In this role, I also offer recommendations and facilitate coaching on the use of innovative ANFF-Q equipment and its facility. This enables and supports clients in developing research ideas, creating prototypes and characterising outcomes. My key achievements in this role include engaging in testing potential fabrics for COVID-19 mask manufacture by Merino & Co, Australia. I also led and facilitated consultations and training sessions for reputed institutions such as the Translational Research Institute (TRI), QUT, UQ and Griffith University. My PhD Resaerch was primarily foccused on fabricating novel functional bio-materials specially designed and optimised for efficient anti-cancer therapeutic activity. Some of my major projects included:1. Optimisation of uniquely designed porous carbon nanomaterials for the efficient delivery of potent but fragile therapeutic protein to elucidate high anti-cancer response.2. To investigate the free radical scavenging effect of functional biomaterials and it's anti-cancer effect in comparison to popular free radical scavenging chemicals and bio-materials.3. Enhancing the anti-cancer and anti-tumour ablation using photothermal therapy (PTT) and combination therapy (using a therapeutic anti-cancer drug delivery assisted by PTT) using specially designed biomaterials.

During my Master's study, my primary research focus was on the synthesis of graphene-based novel materials that were capable of highly efficient photocatalytic activity applied for anti-bacterial and catalytic water purification. Research on the photocatalytic application has its own challenges like maintaining high light intensity consistently. However, I was able to successfully synthesize nanomaterials that can catalyse targeted pollutants in the aqueous environment under special conditions such as the absence of any sunlight/ incident light but instead on ultrasound activation, under darkness, that required no light activation to catalytically reduced pollutants. My research on this effect was one of the first reported research as far as my knowledge.
