The Texas Book Festival is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of literacy and deserving authors and their works, and holds an annual festival in Austin, Texas every fall. I helped research, create and edit blog and website content for the organization, as well as kept the calendar up to date with literary events and news happening across the state. I helped organize and create detailed author itineraries for the outreach program event in south Texas called Reading Rockstars. I also helped craft the press release for this program. I contacted publicists and authors about their submissions for consideration for the Festival, and performed administrative tasks to help with the organization and function of the office.
