Orientates new participants (students) to rules and regulation under the VA chapter 31 program;Arrange meetings with training program participants (students) to monitor their academic progress each term; Review grades, schedules and degree audits to ensure that participants are on track to graduate; Submits training stipend and adjustments as required; Arrange for the purchase of textbooks and equipments as required; Assist students with personal adjustment throughout the rehabilitation process; Provides career / vocational personal adjustment counseling; Reviews and researches labor market; Correspond with participants through emails;Completes and instructs students on how and which government forms are needed; Writes reports and keeps progress on each participant;Completes vocational evaluations that include interest, aptitude, and IQ testing; Completes Independent Living assessments; Informs veterans of rules and regulations of the VA Vocational Rehabilitation program under chapter 31; Refers participants to social services, medical and psychological services; Completes formal vocational assessment to determine suitable vocational goals; Works with school staff to arrange tuition payments and ongoing enrollment of participants; Works from home office with little onsite supervision.
