🌙 As Chief Imam and Islamic Theologian at the Islamic Centre of Ireland since 2004, I've been honoured to serve the Irish Muslim community and beyond. Every Friday, I deliver the main Khutbah, providing spiritual guidance and religious counsel to our vibrant community.🌍 Over the years, it's been a privilege to inspire hundreds of individuals in Ireland, including the talented Sinead O'Connor, to embrace Islam as a way of life. Witnessing the growth of our community has been truly rewarding, Alhamdulillah.📜 Taking on the responsibility of issuing Fatawa, I've stood against harmful practices like FGM, emphasising the importance of safeguarding our values. I've also addressed contemporary issues, issuing a Fatwa on the permissibility of using the internet for Jummah prayers, adapting to the evolving needs of our community during Covid19 pandemic.🤲 Guided by the principles of moderation, I've taken a firm stance against religious extremism, promoting a message of peace and unity. Education is a powerful tool, and my experience in teaching Quran, Hadith, Tafsir, and Fiqh reflects our commitment to nurturing a deep understanding of Islamic teachings.📚 As we continue our journey of spiritual growth, I remain dedicated to fostering an inclusive and informed community.
