The program's capacity-building support is a collaborative effort that involves two main components – Didactics training and action learning. These components are further divided into six modules, with three modules dedicated to didactics learning and two practical phases for on-ground implementation. This on-ground work is supported by research and a plan co-created by the stakeholders, with the assistance of a local coach. The program fosters a collaborative environment by structuring a coalition/team by country/state, which includes officials from MoH, other ministries, civil society organisations, doctor’s associations, insurance companies, pharma companies, etc. Each team comprises 7-8 members, including a project manager (policymaker) and 1-2 project coordinators. After completing our first cohort in 4 states in India (J&K, Kerala, HP and Punjab) we are set to collaborate with ESIC, one of the largest government insurance providers, to enhance the quality of services in their hospitals.
