Dr. Varun Sarda is an expert in the area of Finance with over 17.5 years of experience in academia and industry. He is currently an Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) at Symbiosis International University, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Nagpur, India. He has previously taught at Prestige Institute of Management & Research, Indore, India, Acropolis Faculty of Management and Research, Indore, India, and Swami Vivekanand College of Engineering, School of Management, Indore, India. He has also worked as a Branch Service Manager at ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company, India, and as a Relationship Manager at Axis Bank Ltd., India.Dr. Sarda holds a Ph.D. in Finance from IIPS, Devi Ahilya University Indore (2014), an MBA in Finance from IMS, Devi Ahilya University Indore (2006), and a BeCom. (Hons.) from IMS, Devi Ahilya University Indore (2003). He is also certified in NCFM - Commodities Market Module, NCFM - Derivatives Market Module, AMFI - Advisory Module, AMFI - Basic Module, NCFM - Basic Securities Module, and Licentiate Module.Dr. Sarda's key interest areas are financial management, equity and commodity derivatives. He has published 27 papers in reputed journals, including ABDC Listed Journals (4), Scopus Listed Journals (2), Web of Science (5), Foreign Journals (2), Refereed Journals (11), Peer Reviewed (14), and UGC Listed (9). He has also been a guest speaker at Acropolis Faculty of Management and Research, Indore, and Government College of Dentistry, Indore.Dr. Sarda is a recipient of several awards and honors, including the Cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and Letter of Appreciation from PIMR in PIMR International Conference of Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore for Research Paper titled “An Empirical Study applying Log Periodic Structures for Prediction of Crashes in Indian Stock Market” in January 2022, the Cash prize of Rs. 5,000 and Letter of Appreciation from PIMR in PIMR International Conference of Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore for Research Paper titled “Predicting Indian Foreign exchange market crashes through log periodic power law” in January 2021, and the Best paper award among 85 papers of finance track for Research Paper titled “An Empirical Study applying Chart Patterns to Indian Stock Market Crashes” presented at the International Conference on “Managing Change in Business and Economy” at Pacific University, Udaipur held on 6 - 7 April 2013.
