Media plays a powerful role in shaping the minds of children. As an intuitive, creative and dedicated advocate for children’s education, I’m passionate about connecting kids with a broad diversity of fun, accessible, immersive, and effective educational opportunities.Since completing my postdoctoral research in the MIT Media Lab and Comparative Media Studies Department, I have been collecting useful data on the way children engage with new and traditional media, my particular focus being on children of color. My academic background includes teaching media communications to graduate and undergraduate students. Equipped with an innate sense of curiosity, I’m known among my colleagues and students alike as a deep well of knowledge and concise communicator. Collaborators frequently seek me out for relevant facts as well as discussions that inspire exploration and stimulate creativity. On that foundation, I am now exploring opportunities to collaborate on children’s media research with the development culturally responsive content that depicts characters, families and communities that are diverse and inclusive as my ultimate goal.
