I teach and do research in the Department of History & Political Science at Florida A & M University. I teach a number of political science and public administration/policy courses at undergraduate and graduate levels including Introduction to Political Science, Scope and Methods of Political Science, American State and Local Government, American National Government, and Budget & Fiscal Management at the undergraduate level. At the graduate level, my courses include Public Management, Research Methods, Public Personnel Administration, and Advanced Applications of Statistics and Research. My research agenda includes research on health care policy and politics, and public sector governance, among others. I have published book chapters, and articles in reputable journals including, Sage Open, Public Administration and Management (PAM), Global Science and Technology Forum's Journal of Law and Social Sciences (JLSS), etc. Volunteered as management trainer (May 17-June 2, 2012) for United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-Florida A&M University Farmer-to-Farmer program in South Africa. Trained junior and senior level farmers and supervisors at Lushof Fruit (Pty) Ltd., in Saron, Western Cape province, in business professional development and leadership/management capacity building.2017-2018: Lead Faculty/Facilitator for Palestinian American Youth Civic Engagement (PAYCE), a Stevens Initiative project. The Stevens Virtual Exchange Initiative, a U.S. State Department grant administered by the Aspen Institute, Washington, D.C., honors the legacy of Ambassador Christopher Stevens, and is a multilateral public-private partnership designed to increase people-to-people exchange between youth in the United States and the Middle East and North Africa. Accepted into the inaugural class of ENACT Fellow at Brandeis University. Started fellowship tenure with summer workshop, May 22-26, 2016, and fellowship work from Fall 2016, which include implementing ENACT elements and best practices in the relevant courses, especially Scope & Methods of Political Science, that teach on my campus here in Florida A&M University. Other ENACT-related courses I teach, include American National Government and American State and Local Government.
