A graduate of the UC San Diego School of Medicine, Dr. Grindle has extensive experience in regional anesthesia, as well as most subspecialties including cardiac, neurosurgical, trauma, obstetric, vascular, pediatric, and orthopedic. He served as the Vice Chief of Staff and Chairman of Credentials Committee at Valley View Medical Center from 2014 to 2015, and also was the Chairman of Surgery from 2013 to 2014. He also served as the Chairman of Anesthesia for four years in his first practice after residency. In addition, he served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology at UNDSOM; and also as the Medical Director of a large outpatient surgical center in Rancho Mirage, California. As a pain management specialist, Dr. Grindle developed a reputation as a exceptionally compassionate and skilled practitioner. Before he left the group at Eisenhower Medical Center to go into independent practice, he was the only physician on staff surgically implanting spinal cord stimulators and intraspinal morphine pumps. In 2001, he also became the first physician in the region to perform intradiscal coblation nucleoplasty. In order to ensure he was practicing at the highest possible standard of care upon returning to the full time practice of his primary specialty in 2009, Dr. Grindle completed the Advanced Specialty Track Fellowship in Anesthesiology at UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center.
