I have a deep passion to improve the lives of students and their families that further improve neighborhoods and our communities. I have worked diligently in this cause for Stockton Unified for the past four years as a principal and as a director. I have established strong relationships with students, teachers, administrators, families and community members in Stockton and the county. I am responsible to the CTE efforts across all grades, K-12. I manage the CTE funds, ROP, and Perkins Grant programs. We are introducing Project Lead the Way and working with regional partners on a Career Pathways throughout the region.

I led the 49er Regional Occupational Program (Career and Technical Educaiton) for 3 years. I supervised 6 managers, and 50 staff serving 1700 students at 16 high schools. Other duties included Digital Learning and the home school program. We modernized the enrollment system, introduced social media and reduced operating cost.

Planning Principal for the New San Juan High School initative to reinvent high school education. We designed a 21st centruy Career Technical Educaiton program for ALL students that will provide viable post high school options. These options are included 4 year college, community college, trade schools, military service and job ready workers.

We worked together to develop a new model for continuation educaiton. We developed a new seminar style instrucitonal program with 12 3-week sessions each worth one credit. The result was a 12% increase in student attendance and a 100% increase in credit production. This was all achieved without loosing the core values of caring for our students; a 40 year tradtion at Kinney High School.
