Dr. Galli led technical origination and development for regulated transmission projects across North America. He grew and developed a best-in-class team of highly talented engineers and geo-spatial specialists in developing transmission solutions through FERC Order 1000 processes. He also led technical evaluation of target acquisitions, managed compliance of existing assets, and served as part of the senior leadership team meeting NEET’s long-range strategic plan.

Clean Line Energy Partners develops high voltage, long-haul HVDC transmission lines to connect the best renewable resources in North America to communities and cities that lack access to new, low-cost renewable power. Primarily responsible for leading significant business growth in transmission investment opportunities through origination, development, and construction of projects; pursuing transmission development projects that maximize the performance of existing asset base; pursuing development projects which allow for the expansion of the generation portfolio; achieving regulated rates of return where applicable.

General duties included: managing and providing technical guidance to a group of highly qualified engineers in support of all Coordinated Operations functions (Reliability, Tariff, Markets, and Scheduling), working with management and executive teams in promoting vision and direction for employees in the context of the SPP Mission, providing mentorship and direction in growth opportunities, managing and developing departmental goals and budgets, and assisting in development and management of Coordinated Operations’$3.5M+ budget. (Senior Engineer 2001 - 2003) Responsible for establishing and maintaining safe operating parameters for bulk transmission system within the SPP footprint. Utilized real-time and offline tools to perform system analysis and develop operating procedures. Responsible for providing engineering expertise to operators in making fast-paced decisions regarding system reliability.
