Fine Arts Chair And Instructor
Germantown, Tn
As Fine Arts Chair and Instructor, I led program development, artistic direction, strategic planning and execution, and choral direction for one of the top vocal music programs in Tennessee. I oversaw all planning and execution for budgets up to $200K, timeline development, fundraising, and event planning, marketing, and execution. Other examples of my work include: • Created innovative program offerings including Composer in Residence Program, Fine Arts Academy, and Advanced Placement Music Theory Program. Achieved highest number of qualifiers for Regional Honor Choir, All-State Honor Choir, and Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts over past two years and AP student placements consistently above state and national averages.• Organized and facilitated domestic and international performance tours throughout Mexico, US, Italy, and Germany. Notable performance venues include Carnegie Hall, St. Peter’s Basilica, Chicago Symphony Hall, and Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp in Berlin. Oversaw all budget development, fundraising, logistics, and planning.• Cultivated and led award-winning A cappella and show choirs selected to perform at 2013 National Association for Music Educators National Conference, 2014 Tennessee Music Educators In-Service Conference, and 2017 Tennessee Music Educators In-Service Conference. Awards include multiple top-ten finishes in National High School A cappella Championships and West Tennessee Choral Festival.
