Provided clinical supervision for the Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) team (composed of three therapists). The MST team provides services to juvenile offenders and their families. Monitored service provisions, guided therapist’s practices, and maintained effective communication with community stakeholders, in order to ensure that referral families receive services that are timely, lawful, ethical, and adherent to the MST treatment model. The MST treatment model promotes the desired changes in the youth’s behavior by facilitating changes within and between the multiple systems that impact the youth (individual, family (home), school, peers, and community).

Provided direct clinical supervision for at least one hour per week of on-site face-to-face interaction with the non-licensed clinical staff person(s) providing group counseling for the purpose of overseeing mental health clinical staff and directing the mental health services that are being provided (as permitted by law within his or her state licensure) with CBIS non-licensed staff. Maintained an accurate medication log for all youth involved in the program on the basis of information provided by the case managers. Provided counseling as needed to youth/facilities served by the CBIS program, to include individual, group, family, parent education and/or training. Ensured weekly groups were offered to address criminogenic factors present in the youth participating in services. Facilitated monthly treatment team meetings for each case assigned to field case management staff. Ensured that agency or person providing services beyond the scope of CBIS were invited to participate and/or provides written or telephone communication indicating progress and/or recommendations for the youth. Acted as Tiger Success Center Program Director in the absence of the Director as needed.

Provided individual, pre-marital and post marital counseling in a faith based setting. Counsel couples with a co-counselor, providing direction and insight based on Biblical principles.

Provided therapeutic mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families. These services where delivered at the Full Service School, feeder schools and in the home setting via individual, group and family therapy. Performed diagnostic assessment of clients. Consulted with family, school personnel, psychiatrists and other agencies in formulating treatment plans. and conducting counseling sessions.

Students and parents are referred to the program due to student infractions of the Student Rights and Responsibilities guidelines relating to violence offenses.

Worked with students and their parents in Prevention and Intervention Program of DeKalb County Schools providing instruction, encouraging group participation and interaction. Promoted drug and alcohol awareness. Focus was on preventing substance abuse among young people and assisting parents in becoming more aware of the facts concerning substance abuse. Students were referred for infractions of Student Rights and Responsibilities guidelines relating to substance abuse.
