As a creative technologist and educator, I thrive at the intersection of technology, art, and cultural innovation. With over two decades of experience in fields ranging from immersive art to applied research and development, my career has been driven by a passion for blending cutting-edge technology with artistic expression and cultural preservation.Currently, I serve as the Computer Science Program Developer and Visiting Faculty at the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA), where I’m leading the development of an interdisciplinary Computer Science program. This initiative is designed to empower the next generation of students, particularly from Native American and Alaska Native communities, by combining technical skills with indigenous cultural expression through media and interactive technologies.Throughout my career, I’ve led diverse teams in innovative environments like Meow Wolf and Autodesk, managed multimillion-dollar budgets, and built dynamic, cross-disciplinary programs. My experience spans immersive installations, R&D in additive manufacturing, interactive design, and much more—each project an opportunity to explore how technology can enhance and preserve cultural narratives.I am passionate about building sustainable partnerships across industries to create opportunities for students and professionals alike, and I continually strive to foster environments where creativity and technology intersect.Let’s connect if you’re interested in the future of art, technology, and education, or if you’re curious about how we can collaborate to inspire and innovate.

Director Of R&D And Applied InnovationThinking Robot Studios Nov 2015 - Oct 2016Halifax, Canada AreaResearched and developed design and engineering processes and design tools that create hierarchical, heterogeneous, and functionally graded materials for additive manufacturing using a high resolution, multi-scale, volumetric approach. For the process, Woohoo developed a Cybernetic Design System and encapsulated it within the scientific method. The following phases are included in the process:• Research: Question, Research, Hypothesis• Input: This data is captured from multiple sources including: MRIs, CT Scans, Microscopy images, scanners, sensors, multi-physics simulations, and feedback data• Design & Engineering: The Design & Engineering phase takes the data from various forms of input and applies it to the parametric designs that iteratively change. Various Design Systems (Fractals, Chaos, Complex Systems, Adaptation, and Computation) are coupled with multi-physics simulations are used in this phase.• Output: 3D printed and post processed using various technologies• Testing & Analysis: Ex situ and in situ tests and characterization• Results: The results are documented.
