1. Development of Policies/ Strategies/ Guidelines for Environmental Management. i.e. Pollution Prevention and Control, Greenbelt Development, Biodiversity and conservation Plan, Ground water harvesting and Recharge etc.2. Coordination with Moef, State Environmental Dept., CPCB, SPCB, CGWA, Forest and Wildlife etc., for Environmental Clearance and Policy Advocacy.3. Environmental and Social Impact Assessments.4. As Senior Vice President and Principal Advisor of the organization, involved with all the knowledge products and value added services in environment management.Also responsible for techno-legal services under the Air, Water, Cess and EPActs.

As Head of Department for the State, Planning for and executing schemes for total Environmental Management. Also headed the Secretariat for the State Environmental Impact assessment authority and the expert appraisal Committee. State Nodal Officer, Climate Change. Conceptualized the 11th Five year plan.Initiated the setting up of a Natural History Museum at Lucknow, establishing a State Water, State Air and Hazardous substances monitoring laboratory at the Directorate and projects on combined waste water treatment plants, common biomedical waste management facilities and common T.S.D.F. for hazardous waste management. Conceptualized and arranged budget provisions for a State Environmental Training and research Institute in U.P. Started the publication of the first news letter 'GREEN' for the Directorate of Environment, established the Secretariat for the State Expert Appraisal Committee and the State Environmental Impact assessment authority at the Directorate and worked as Secretary ,State Expert Appraisal Committee from 2007 to 2011.Established the state nodal centre for Climate Change Management at the Directorate. Also established the Directorate as a centre to assist the Government in its responsibilities under the Environment Protection Act and regulating wetland conservation.Researched the second phase of the Environmental Performance rating of Distilleries of Uttar Pradesh and published report.Prepared the State of Environment Report for U.P. for the year 2011 and a 30 year perspective Plan for the Directorate. Organized the first U.P. Film festival on Environment. Initiated the preparation of comprehensive industry documents for the Tanneries, pulp and paper industries and stone crushers in Uttar Pradesh.
