Horizon Oil Sands-Safely operate, monitor, adjust, and maintain process equipment to ensure production rates are achieved-Work in all units of the Primary Upgrading (PUG) area of the plant, including diluent recovery, vacuum distillation and the delayed Coker units-Monitor all process related equipment (pumps, compressors, furnaces, critical valves, etc.) -Develop competencies to effectively troubleshoot and problem-solve operating issues-Review and evaluate equipment deficiencies and if required initiate maintenance work requests-Prepare equipment, as necessary, for maintenance activities using CNRL’s Lock Out/Tag Out Standards-Prioritize, issue, and authorize Safe Work Permits within qualified units-Sample products, record and analyze unit data, adjust unit parameters to meet product specifications-Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), including reviewing, improving as required-Participate in safety audits and safety programs and maintain a safe work environment-Mentor and develop new staff through proper operating etiquette, effective rounds, valuable readings and documenting detailed unit conditions-Participate in planned shutdowns and start-ups

Ridley Island Propane Export Terminal-Ensure safe operation of the terminal by maintaining awareness for personal safety and that of co-workers, outside contractors and customers-Adhere to all AltaGas Policies, Standards, Procedures and Practices-Report and investigate facilities’ safety incidents-Match railcar offloading schedule to manifest-Visually inspect the railcar to be involved in the upcoming transfer-Sample railcar contents and place sample in a chromatograph-Unload railcars according to offloading procedure-Check volume of the railcar after offloading to ensure railcar is empty-Complete appropriate paperwork/documentation after offloading-Perform track inspections and railcar inspections-Perform minor facility maintenance as required-Assist senior operators in other plant activities as instructed

-Participate in walk-downs of subsystems, reporting any deficiencies-Read and understand P&ID's-Gross air leak test piping systems-WHMIS label piping and associated equipment-Nitrogen purging-Install and verify car seals, PSV verification-Air drying refrigeration system-LOTO/Isolate pumps, compressors, and various equipment for maintenance-Flagging and tagging plant sub-systems as they are being turned over to CSU operations -Provided support for plant operations once construction phase transferred to operations-Daily reading logs of all plant equipment

-Pump jack and other oilfield maintenance-Pipefitting-Remove/Install PSV's-Various jobs at plant turnarounds-Assist crane operators with hoisting and moving various equipment.-Lease cleanup of garbage, scrap metal, oil spills etc.

-Assist the Driller on the rig floor and conducting preventative maintenance on rig equipment-Mixing of mud and chemicals, clean and paint as required -Assist in moving the rig, rigging up and rigging out.
