Raynor Foods Ltd is a second generation, family run, food manufacturer based in Chelmsford.Whilst I was there the company won ICAEW Growing Small Business of the Year (South Essex) 2015. Turnover increased to £8 million, up from £4 million when I joined. There are 100+ staff members. Monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet), production of annual budgets, cash flow forecasting and monitoring, sales and costing analysis, ratio analysis, variance/prior year analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, break even. Maintaining fixed asset register. Credit checks on new customers and advising on risk. Preparing summary accounts and commentary for the board. Month end journals (accruals, prepayments and depreciation). Preparing statutory accounts for year-end audit and liaising with auditors. Skidproof International Ltd, installed non-slip floor coating and had a listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. I ran the accounts and advised the director on business development.Production of forecasts for business start-up.

I had complete responsibility for the day to day running of the accounts.Key Duties.Purchase ledger; checking invoices, matching invoices to delivery notes, making payments, dealing with supplier inquiries. Payroll; weekly/monthly payroll, submissions to HMRC. Bank payments, credit card payments, expenses and daily reconciliation. Maintaining nominal ledger, journal entries, general administration.
