I am responsible for our risk management process in space projects, i.e. to define it generally in our organization and to implement it specifically in our projects. There I support our project teams to setup their specific risk management process, to identify their applicable project risks, to define appropriate mitigation strategies and to implement necessary actions.

I plan and organize project-milestone reviews in German space projects, defining review objectices, choosing the members of the review board and distributing review data packages. During the reviews I head the review board as chairman. I document the results of the reviews, formulate recommendations and decide about the successful pass of the review. Afterwards I report the results to the project team and the management.

I represent DLR at ECSS (European Cooperation for Space Standardization) and I contribute for DLR to space standardization activities at ISO. Together with parterns from agencies and industry we develop European space standards and apply them in our own projects. I coordinate the German input in ECSS, plan and monitor work group activities in ECSS and lead task forces to advance subject-matters in European standardization.

I plan and monitor the mangementsystem of the DLR Space Administration, especially process development, non-conformance management and improvement management. I take responsibility for the efficacy of the managementsystem against internal requirements and its conformity against external requirements (ISO9001). Further I advice and report to the mangement on the state of the system.

I worked in a team of administrators, advisers and contractor developers to develop and operate the IT process infrastructure for central aircraft logistics processes. Stability and quality of IT services were the major drivers, as were failure tracking and constant improvement of services.
