Responsible for conducting arc flash calculations within STATCOM systems, with a focus on ensuring electrical safety for engineers and maintenance personnel working on these systems. This includes modeling arc flash incident energy in dynamic systems, examining erosion effects on terminals, and analyzing local pressure increases and reflections caused by arcing incidents.My work involves validating underlying assumptions, boundary conditions, and verifying key mathematical expressions within the modeling framework. By developing models in both Python and MATLAB, I directly support safety measures such as determining safe working distances, recommending appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and assessing electrical risks in potential accident scenarios.
