I received my PhD in medical neuroscience from the Indiana University School of Medicine. My doctoral thesis encompassed using positron emission tomography (PET) imaging to study aberrations in the dopamine system in different neuropathologies, including addiction and chronic pain. My first postdoctoral fellowship was at the Martinos Center, where I used simultaneous PET/MRI to investigate how neuroinflammation is associated with various chronic pain disorders, including fibromyalgia and sciatica. In July 2018, I began my second postdoctoral position at the University of Southern California, where I used PET to study pathological aggregation of proteins in Alzheimer's Disease. In my current role on the Translational Biomarkers Team (TBT) at Neurocrine Biosciences, I'm working with PET imaging to develop biomarker plans to further drug development for a number of our programs.
