I manage a 15 person team and ensure that everything proceeeds in a timely and efficient manner.Responsible for strategic decision making, quality control, budgeting and more, I use the breadth of skills available to me to ensure a smooth development process.I have set up processes, made hiring decisions, designed key features and even programmed bits of the title as was needed during various times.

At Concept8 I had the opportunity to be part of a great team and work on a variety of projects starting from the very early stages right through to the construction stage. Jumping on a number of schemes at once allowed me to raise my presentation and design skills to the next level, producing a number of presentations packs for clients, and even running a couple of presentations myself. I was able to get increased responsibility for projects and run them fairly independently, helping me learn in practice what makes a really great scheme, and how to work with colleagues and clients to achieve just that.

I worked here as part of a 3 month placement, as an architectural assistant. Due to the unique environment and the small size of the practice, I was able to have increased agency over my work, often contributing to design decisions, and on a couple of projects, leading their design myself. Here I had the opportunity to arrange drawing sets and take them from an initial client meeting to a completed planning application, attend client meetings, generate both 2D and 3D information. It was an action packed few months and I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

I worked here as a part of my university course on a contract for 3 months as an architectural assistant. The small size of the practice allowed me to see the process of creating an architectural drawing set from beginning to the planning stage, and I was able to learn about the standards used in practice, and apply them for myself later. Here I also had the opportunity to attend a number of CPD sessions, which greatly boosted my understanding of areas in the architectural field.
