I am a Management graduate with a passion for education and a profound appreciation for the Japanese language and culture. My goal is to become an English Language Teacher in Japan, leveraging the strong communication skills I have built up throughout both my educational and professional career, alongside the cultural understanding I have gained through my interest in Japanese culture and history. With success in fitness coaching and advisory roles, as well as experience in classroom supervision, I have honed my abilities in mentorship, collaboration, and fostering a supportive learning environment.Whilst studying towards my degree I found myself in a multitude of situations that required the use of invaluable workplace skills, ranging from leadership and problem solving during a group business project to word processing and time management whilst working on a multitude of assignments and reports. Furthermore, my current job involves performing in a variety of roles and situations. Examples include providing great customer service, completion of legal procedures and training of new employees, all while operating alongside people from a variety of different cultures and backgrounds. In particular, having strong communication skills and experience in cultural awareness is especially beneficial when it comes to working with students from a culture foreign to my own. Additionally, I continued to work and study during the height of the COVID-19 outbreak, demonstrating an ability to perform during challenging conditions. These skills and experiences give me the foundations to excel as a teacher and adapt to the culture within Japan.In addition to professional pursuits, I am committed to personal growth and development. I have worked hard to gain a solid physique whilst language-wise I recently learned my 450th Kanji. In addition to actively pursuing working opportunities, I am also expanding my skill set in web development on the side. This could complement my teaching, wherein I could more effectively integrate technology into lessons. Whether I am in the gym or enhancing my Japanese language proficiency, I am always seeking opportunities to broaden my horizons and acquire new skills.Looking ahead, I am eager to pursue a Master's Degree in Business, something that would allow me to offer more specialised tuition in business topics whilst advancing my career, ultimately allowing me to offer a greater quality of education. I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and am dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of Japanese students.
