David retired from Criteria Corp on June 30, 2024. David serves on Criteria's Board of Directors and consults for Criteria and Parallax Views, LLC, but he is essentially retired, allowing him more time to enjoy his wife, children, and grandchildren. He continues work on his novel, "A Question of Balance," a psychological/philosophical thriller. David was Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Criteria Corp, an innovative software company providing businesses with leading edge employment assessment tools in a Software as a Service platform that is used for identifying and surfacing talent by nearly 5,000 customers in over 60 countries. At the heart of Criteria® are Criteria's evidence-based proprietary live interviewing, cognitive aptitude, personality, and skills tests. This unique service demystifies the process of employee testing while adhering to the highest standards of scientific rigor and security. Prior to Criteria, David was a principal and Co-President of AIMS Multimedia where his primary effort was digital technology production. Drawing upon his microcomputer skills, educational psychology background in learning theories, practical experience in teaching and instruction, psychotherapeutic training in systems theory and Pinchot's seminal work, Intrapreneuring; David played an integral role guiding AIMS to its leading position as producer and distributor of educational multimedia for schools, libraries, colleges, businesses, law enforcement agencies, health departments, and government agencies. During his tenure at AIMS, David conceived, designed and co-programmed all AIMS Multimedia’s software, over 400 programs, including AIMS’ flagship product, DigitalCurriculum™, SaaS and the first Internet streaming video-on-demand educational system with thousands of video titles, interactive quizzes, and tests serving more than 20 million paid subscribers. David also designed AIMS internal sales and contact management software. In August 2004, after 20+ years, David and his co-principal brothers sold AIMS Multimedia to Discovery Communications, Inc.David also had a private practice and taught as adjunct faculty at Pepperdine Graduate School of Education and Psychology.
