I was responsible for facility services staffing, special event planning and operations, departmental budget development, public safety, compliance with JCAHO, state and local governments, as well as all contractual agreements for the facility and its components, all while accommodating both Clinical and General Membership services. I also coordinated the facility maintenance, event setup/management, and facility cleanup.

As The Facility Services Manager at The Qwest Center, I was responsible for Managing Event Setup, Change-Overs, and all Facility Operations (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (CAFM), HVAC (EMCS), Grounds, Security, Custodial, Shipping & Receiving, Etc.). I was responsible for facility services staffing, departmental budget development, public safety, compliance with state and local codes, as well as all contractual agreements for the facility and its components. I also coordinated the facility maintenance, event setup/management, and facility cleanup for the Civic Auditorium as well.

Baltimore, Maryland Area

As The Director of Facilities at Ripken Baseball, I was responsible for Developing, Implementing, and Directing a World Class Facilities/Construction Management Program, Grounds/Landscaping Program, as well as Game-Day/Event Operations, Guest Relations, Systems/Safety/Security, Volunteer Coordination, and a Maintenance/Custodial Program for a 9 Baseball Diamond complex that included 2 Professional Minor League Stadiums, and other various Amateur Baseball/Youth Complexes. I developed these programs from concept to operation. I was also part of the management team involved in the renovation of several other Ripken Baseball facilities throughout the country.

Lincoln, Nebraska Area

As the Assistant Director for Facilities at the University of Nebraska Lincoln’s Campus Recreation Center, I was responsible for Directing, Developing, and Initiating Facilities Management programs characterized by safe, clean, efficient facilities, maintained in as close to their “Original” state as possible. I was also in charge of all Special Event Coordination, Including NCAA Division One Volleyball, and one of the largest intercollegiate flag football tournaments in the country. I did this while keeping an eye for growth and expansion to meet the ever changing demands and ideas of our customers/students. These facilities include roughly 500,000 square feet of indoor facilities and over 140 acres of outdoor recreation facilities, including both natural and synthetic surfaces. I assisted with million+ dollar improvement budgets, and also managed an operating budget. In this position, I developed a global view/vision of what it takes to deliver high quality programs by having played an intricate role in the operation and success of 10 program areas within Campus Recreation at UNL.
