I am a District Vice-Principal that works in a newly created Learning Division based out of the Tolmie School Board Office. My portfolio continues to consists of exploring new ways of teaching and learning with a specific consideration of the affordances of the digital. EdTech has been taken off of my title, because it came with too many misconceptions. We are about learning, while considering how new technologies in our world require new skill sets, provide new opportunities for teaching, learning, and new ways of connecting and sharing.

I am a District Vice-Principal who works closely with schools, educators, parents, and most importantly, students on ways that we can improve learning in our classrooms. I work closely with the Informational Technology department as well as with Senior management. I connect with educators across 50 K-12 schools to hear feedback, collaborate, and research the best technology tools in the best ways. I mentor educators, consult school leadership groups, and provide the district leadership in the area of educational technology. I look to provide and develop powerful and engaging student learning through integrating technology in the areas of instruction, assessment, and learning strategies. I aim to create meaningful resources with teachers and support the development of digital literacy skills and digital citizenship in our schools. I focus on school and classroom learning goals for the effective use technology for learning. My focus is on collaborative inquiry, creativity and innovation, and critical thinking in our classrooms. My goal is to provide service, support, resource, and inspiration with regards to learning with new tools and technology that amplifies effective pedagogy.

I supported the integration of technology in two K-5 elementary schools with Greater Victoria School District #61. I work collaboratively with educators to bring new instructional techniques, assessment tools, and learning strategies for students. I mentored teachers in the integration of technology in the classroom and provided professional development to teachers across many schools.
