Cost Engineer – Knuckle, Shocks • Create ground up estimates for all Knuckles and Shocks.• Estimates used by program team for internal business case targets and Purchasing sourcing targets.• Analyze supplier quotes for accuracy in labor, burden, material etc. • Create reports comparing quotes and estimates used by purchasing in the negotiating process.• Create estimates for design changes to all Knuckles and Shocks.• Attend negotiations with purchasing/supply base for original sourcing, engineering changes and other costing activity.• Complete cost studies for regional differences. • Attend supplier visits to get first hand knowledge of manufacturing processes and apply these learning to estimates.• Create Core Cost Models(CCM) for shocks.

Cost Estimator – Fascia(9/19-present), Knuckles, Hubs and Bearings(9/13-9/19)• Create optimal cost estimate(OCE’s)• Estimates used by purchasing as a benchmark to determine competiveness of supplier prices and cost savings opportunities • Analyze supplier quotes for accuracy in labor, burden, material etc. • Integral part of component sourcing process. • Assist purchasing in negotiations for engineering design changes, capacity studies and any other cost related activities.• Global Alignment Team Lead. GMNA Purchasing – Senior Buyer • Responsible for global sourcing of Calipers and Brake Pads – APV over $100 million dollars• Work with suppliers to resolve critical capacity issues, material adjustments and other contract issues• Negotiate and update contracts for engineering changes on current programs• Responsible to manage supply base to ensure balance and competitiveness.

GMNA Engineering – Senior Cost Engineer • Generate piece cost estimates for all front and rear suspension components.• Present estimates for approval to cross functional program team. Approved estimate used by Purchasing as target for initial sourcing.• Generate piece cost estimates for design changes to suspension components.• Analyze supplier quotes for accuracy of: cycle time, material cost, labor rates, burden rates, SG&A, and profit. • Assist Purchasing in OEM/Tier One supplier negotiations for sourcing and engineering changes. • Assist Finance by providing information for cost studies and create suspension tracking models for all GMNA vehicles.• Component Expert Team (CET) Lead – Lead international team of suspension cost engineers. Tasks include: benchmark data collection, creation of global cost models, and review/commonization of GM processes.• Efficiency Team Representative – Responsible for identifying Cost Engineering process issues and recommending solutions to management. • Cost Modeler Team Representative – Responsible for providing user input for Excel based cost modeler.
